The smile was celestial- made in heaven
Her teeth shone like diamonds
Diamonds set perfectly in her dark pimpled face
Never had pimples complimented a girl’s beauty so much
Ignorant men would call it a coincidence
A chance meeting
But I know better
For in matters of the heart, matters of love
There are no chance happenings
It is all part of a beautiful story.
l looked on dumbfounded as she beamed her smile
I tried to talk, oh I tried
But all that came out, all I said
Was nothing, empty words of nothing
Never had words failed me so
Never had l been so mute.
My hand sprang to life
But a wave was all it could muster
A wave, a smile
How can they say what my mind knows
What my heart screams
What my mouth has failed to say
I LOVE YOU.
